Housekeeping Status may differ from Front Office status in day-to-day operation. This page allows the Housekeeper to update such discrepancies shift wise on daily basis.
We have managed shift wise Discrepancy Report in this Module. Day begins with the opening shift hence after completion of night audit the first shift of the property will be selected by default in the discrepancy page. Discrepancies need to be filled shift wise, if the previous shift report is not submitted then system will not allow you to submit the next shift report. This feature prevents you from skipping the reports mistakenly as filling discrepancies helps a property in maximizing revenue.
How to fill Room discrepancy Report?
- Step 1 – Click on “Room Discrepancies” menu under “Housekeeping” menu
- Step 2 – Select the shift from the options given on top of the page. List of current In-house guests will appear on screen.
This List will contain Room No., Guest Name, Arrival Date, Departure Date, Front Office Adult count, Front Office Child Count, Service Status. These fields will show those data which already exists in the PMS. HK Adults & HK Childs need to be filled and accordingly discrepancies will appear in the Discrepancy Adults and Child column.
Step 3 – Update the Housekeeping Adult & Child count for each room in HK Adult & HK Child columns, if the Front Office and Housekeeping count does not match then the difference will be shown as Discrepancy in the Discrepancy Adult & Child column but if both the counts are same then discrepancy will be shown as “Zero”
If you want to mention any remarks like (Sleep Out, Skipper, etc.) against any room then mention the same in the “Notes” column.
- Step 4 – After filling the data for all the rooms click on “Submit”
Note – Once the report is submitted you will not able to make any further changes on the same report and the next shift will appear in the Discrepancy page. Before Night audit Process you need to fill all the shift discrepancy reports or else night audit process will not get completed.
